I remember seeing these cars on fire, side of the highway.
I looked at a 73 Hurst Olds a long time ago & wanted it real bad.! Now i look back & think, why didn't i buy that car! I had already had a 73 442, long gone by then... huge Olds fan! I've had 5... i would have another one if i could.! Nice video!
Thanks.

WHAT a survivor, the 1972 Hurst Olds Indy Pace car, is just stunning, I love the video review, beautiful & exotic. Thanks for sharing the posting.
Thank you. Please share the link with your friends.
Always Loved Both The 1969 Pontiac Firebird And, The Trans Am 👍 !
Good Stuff!
Thanks!
A buddies Father had 1(same hood. 455. But not a hurst). Boy, that car did wicked 30mph rolling burnouts. In our high-school days(early/mid 80's) we raced everything all weekend long.
Beautiful
Indeed!
It was faster than the vett at the time so they pulled it's plug
Just say no to drugs.
What happened ? Those were the Good years, thing have gotten worse NOT Better ! We can ALL thank Politicians for that I guess ! 😤😔
Smog, air pollution and two gas crises happened. We came out a lot faster on the other side.
What a beauty. Nice choice Campy!
Thank you kindly!
❤❤❤
I own a 72 olds 442 hurst cutlass with a 455 in it had it restored two years ago love it
Nice Hurst GP/SSJ She’s a Beauty!😎🙌🖤⭐️🕊🦋🕊🙏✌️🌅🎉🇺🇸 Thanks for sharing!🎉
Hope you liked the ‘72 Hurst Olds video we put up last week.
Man...the '68-'72 A-bodies were as good as it gets.
It never got this good again for GM.
Doctor Oldsmobile Joe Mondello way ahead of his time for sure. Muscle Car Campy cool car love the video!!
It just don't get any smoother than Oldsmobile!!! I'm a Ford guy, but I've owned two Oldsmobiles in my life!!! (Nothing cool.)
I loved my ‘75 Olds convertible. It was like driving a cloud.
Love that Pace Car!😎👍🖤⭐️🕊🦋🕊🙏🎉🇺🇸🌅Thank you for sharing!🎉
The Landau top on the 72 Hurst was never a padded top as it was erroneously mentioned it being so. The padded Landau top appeared on the 73 Hurst, however.
I brag..I had 2 1965 GTO covertibile..dark green 4spd..crashed..replaced with white with auto..ot was faster n a corvette killer! I miss them
I was 17 years old when my father bought a Royal Bobcat 428 SJ with a Turbo hydromatic. Maize yellow with a black leather interior. I had lots of fun racing that car, it was fast. Raced a GTO Judge, dead even race to 120 MPH. Surprised a lot of hot rod drivers of just how quick that car was, great times
Must have been quite a beast.
Carrão 👍👍
I had several GP when I was younger and I have just got to find an SJ like this one. This car is in my blood.
Love, this AMC is killer!!!!!!! ALRIGHT Muscle Car Campy banging the gears.
That car really wanted to rev. I had just met the owner so I kept the rpm under 5500.
Great video!
Thanks!
Beautiful car! I had a 67 in red with white interior. 389, three duecesn4 speed! Loved that car. Bought it for $300 in 1975!
Excellent original challenger very nice.
Thank you! Cheers!
Classic Pontiac water pump bi pass leak
Would love an update on this car someday, 71-74 Chargers are the coolest damn cars in the world. Greetings from Ireland.
By the same designer of the Detomaso Pantera.
How about a miniature Trans - Am?
I dreamed of getting my hands on a '68 or '69 AMX, 390 4-speed. Five years ago, that dream came true. I'm a longtime AMC enthusiast; we had a few of them over the years: a '62 Rambler Classic station wagon that my mother learned to drive on, a '68 Ambassador that I learned to drive on and a '74 Hornet my sister learned to drive on. Plus a '78 Gremlin that was my first car.
Beautiful car! One of the best looking cars Ford ever built, the Torino Cobra is definitely one of my personal favorites.
I sure miss my 66 GTA. I was young at the time and sold it in 1971. It was Red on Red with the white stripe.
Nice combo.
That little monster needs fuel injection, a pair of cnc ported aluminum heads with a matching intake and a giant hydraulic roller cam.. At least fix the shifter boot : )
It ran perfectly. It did not need fuel injection.
1970 was the best year for the 442. Not only for performance. The look of the 442 as a whole. The rear bumper and tail lights of all the similar years 69-72 the 70 was the best look. I think the 72 would be second best looking. with the vertical and horizontal splits. The 71 horizontal split was not as good but ok. The only thing 71 and 72 took away power as well as the hood coming down to split the grill with it now a part of the grill. The Olds fastback Holiday coupes were some of the best looking cars EVER made. Sure Chevelles and GTOs were similar but only Olds and Buick had that clean muscle luxury look. Awesome car and I look forward to seeing more.
What's with the need to diss others? I'd love to restore an old AE86 Corolla, just like I'd love to restore an old Charger.
manual gearbox? Is it an MG.
It is an MG: Mighty Goat.
I had two 66 GTO’s at the same time. I kept the one that looks very similar to this one in the video. Your car is bad ass. What 5 speed transmission do you have. I would love to get one for mine. Have a good one brother.
Got a new 65 , 3 2s midnight blue, blue interior for graduation from high school. Wha a great car. Got drafted and sold it just before leaving for nam. Have owned many cars over the years years. 442, SS 396, and several corvettes. My GOAT was my favorite. Miss those times.
You look at home behind the wheel of a Mopar, Campy. 😉 Fear of Mr. Porcupine brought about the 426 Hemi and the Euro 427 (S)cammer. Mr. Porcupine went on to father two homely daughters named Lima and Cleveland. Mr Porcupine proceeded to outperform, outsell and outlive them all. 😃
Nice Campy, one of my favs! "Make life miserable for any GTO, Roadrunner, Cobra Jet or Mach 1". Notice who's missing? AMC knew...who it couldn't hold a candle to. 😉
That 4.0 Aurora V8 should've been used!
Didn't hear what the final drive ratio was ? ⚙️
3.42:1.
@@musclecarcampy9922 Perfect 👌
Thats not true at all. Fiero started out as a economy car that was supposed to make 60mpg
That is how it was sold to management, but that is not the genesis of the car itself.
I had a GS 350 4 speed,it was a blast !!
It's a very rare car u idiots
Nice car, but I prefer to cruise in them, not race. Mine has 4.11 gears. Wish it had 3.08 or 3.31 instead. Would be better for cruising.
Almost criminal to have 4.11s and not go to the strip. LOL. A 3.08 or 3.31 will transform the car on the highway if you spend a lot of time there. If not, stay with the 4.11s.
I would love to have either of these!
I really like your cars Tim. I wish that I had a 1/3 of the knowledge that you have. I learned that the RPM intake and a solid roller cam. And you are done. They are strong engines. I still have my Galaxie, but I am blind and I can’t drive at all. It is really nice but my wife won’t drive it. I love how your 390 pulls!
white walls ? for the love of God ? Why ?
So it appears as it did new.
